Polishing Dust Treatment System

The production of polishing dust is rooted in the extensive demand for "surface treatment" of workpieces in modern manufacturing industry. It is not an isolated phenomenon, but an inevitable product brought by a basic and key link in industrial production.
Mainstream dust treatment process
At present, the most mainstream and efficient polishing dust treatment process is "source capture+centralized dust removal system".
Core technology: high-efficiency filtering dust removal
Its basic principle is to use the negative pressure generated by the fan to suck the dust-containing gas into the pipeline, and intercept the dust through the high-efficiency filter material, and the purified gas is discharged into the atmosphere or indoor circulation.
Main components of the system:
Vacuum hood/suction arm:
Function: capture the dust from the source before it spreads to the workers' breathing area. This is the most effective and economical way.
Form: including side suction hood, top suction hood, closed cabin, air inlet of working table and universal flexible suction arm, etc. Which form to choose depends on the layout of the station, the size of the workpiece and the operation mode.
Ventilation duct: Function: conveying dusty gas. Requirements: It is very important to design a reasonable pipeline system (pipe diameter, layout, wind speed), and it is necessary to ensure that there is enough flow velocity in the pipeline (usually 15-25m/s) to prevent dust from settling and blocking in the pipeline. Dust collector host (core equipment):
Function: separating gas and dust.
Type: The most commonly used is the filter cartridge dust collector, and the filter bag dust collector is also used.
Filter cartridge dust collector: surface filtration technology is adopted, and the filtration material is polyester non-woven fabric or coated filter material. Its advantages are high filtering precision, compact volume and good dust removal effect. It is the first choice for polishing dust treatment at present.
Filter bag dust collector: the initial investment may be low by using deep filtration technology, but it is large in size, and the filtration accuracy and dust removal effect are usually not as good as that of filter cartridge type.
Fan:
Function: provide power for the whole system and generate the required negative pressure and air volume.
Selection: It needs to be matched according to the total air volume and resistance (pressure loss) of the system, which is the "heart" of the system.
Ash discharging device:
Function: collect the filtered dust.
Form: ash hopper, ash storage bucket, screw conveyor, etc. For large-scale systems, automatic balers or central dust bins can be connected.
