Waste Gas Treatment System In Injection Workshop

When the injection molding machine heats and melts the plastic particles, the additives in the plastic and the plastic itself will volatilize organic matter, forming oil mist, smoke and pungent odor exhaust gas. Install a gas collecting hood above the injection molding machine, and effectively collect all the generated waste gas through the pipeline system to ensure that the waste gas will not spread in the workshop and ensure the health of workers. This is the premise of the effective operation of the whole processing system.

1.Electrostatic oil mist purifier (pretreatment stage)

Core function: remove oil mist, smoke and larger particles in waste gas.

Working principle:

Ionization zone: the high-voltage electric field makes the oil mist particles in the waste gas positively charged. Dust collection area: charged oil mist particles are strongly adsorbed on the plates when passing through the alternating high-voltage negative plates and grounded positive plates.

Purification and cleaning: the oil mist adsorbed on the polar plate gathers into droplets under the action of gravity and flows into the oil sump at the bottom for centralized recovery. The equipment needs regular cleaning and maintenance to keep the best efficiency.

Importance: As pretreatment equipment, it can effectively remove most of the liquid oil mist and solid particles. This greatly lightens the burden of the following activated carbon adsorption box, and prevents the oil mist from blocking the micropores of activated carbon, thus significantly prolonging the service life of activated carbon and reducing the operating cost.

2.Activated carbon adsorption box (core purification stage)

Core function: Adsorption and removal of organic waste gas (VOCs) and odor in waste gas.

Working principle: Using the huge specific surface area and abundant micropore structure of activated carbon, strong adsorption force is generated. When the pretreated waste gas passes through the activated carbon layer, the organic gas molecules and odor molecules in it are firmly captured and fixed in the pores of the activated carbon, so that the gas is deeply purified.

Features: Activated carbon adsorption box is a classic choice for treating organic waste gas with low concentration and large air volume. Activated carbon will gradually saturate and lose its adsorption capacity, so it needs to be replaced or regenerated regularly. The replacement cycle depends on the concentration of waste gas and the loading amount of activated carbon.

3.Fan (system power core)

Core function: provide power and overcome resistance for the whole waste gas treatment system.

Working principle: the fan is installed at the end of the purification equipment, and negative pressure is formed in the whole set of pipelines and treatment equipment by exhausting air, so as to ensure that the waste gas can be sucked stably and continuously from the source, and then pass through all levels of treatment equipment in turn, and finally be forcibly discharged.

Importance: The selection of fans (air volume and air pressure) is very important, which directly determines the exhaust gas collection effect and the normal operation of the treatment system.

4.Chimney (Exhaust Unit)

Core function: discharge the finally purified gas into the atmosphere safely and in compliance.  

Requirements: The height of chimney needs to be set according to environmental protection laws and regulations, so as to ensure that exhaust gas can fully diffuse at high altitude and further reduce the impact on the surrounding ground environment.
